What should I do if I think my piercing is infected?

As soon as you leave the studio environment your piercing will be exposed to all kinds of bacteria that we live with every day that have the potential to cause infection.

Having said that infection in piercing is rare and what we see far more often are piercings which are inflamed or irritated as a result of trauma or contamination. An example of trauma could be having your nostril piercing head butted by a baby. An example of contamination could be accidentally spraying hairspray onto your new ear piercing.

Because the causes and treatments of troubled piercings can be so varied it’s essential that you stop by the studio as soon as possible so that we can examine the piercing and advise you of any relevant actions you can take to improve the piercings health.
